About Our Organization

We offer programs, workshops, awards, critique sessions, open mics and related activities for members and the public. WFLF sponsors an annual student poetry writing contest, publishes an anthology biannually, and maintains the Dr. Francis P. Cassidy Writers Resource Center in Pensacola Cultural Center.

Publishing Opportunities

West Florida Literary Federation members are encouraged to send work to Andrea Walker, editor, for publication in WFLF’s monthly newsletter The Legend. WFLF also publishes the biennial anthology, Emerald Coast Review.

West Florida Literary Federation brings together writers and area residents who are interested in writing and the literary heritage of West Florida.

Our Mission

As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, we seek to promote and nurture literary talent in Northwest Florida through educational programs, writers' workshops, open forums, school poetry competitions, community programs, and publications.
